New PDF Documents Uploaded to SAVE SMC Blog

Last night, I scanned relevant documents and converted them to Adobe PDF format. I have now uploaded several of them to our server. Here's the list of records pertaining to Santa Monica College (SMC) and its satellite vocational school, the Academy of Entertainment and Technology (AET). You can click on the name of each document to access the Adobe PDF scanned document. I will let you know when I integrate them into our SAVE SMC website search database.

PART ONE: Documents that I obtained on my own:

Group One: Miscellaneous Documents.

Jim Keeshen's Biography and Resume (read the related article HERE).
(Note: This document was part of Jim Keeshen's "Day of the Dead" promotional packet.)

Santa Monica College's September 21, 2005 Corsair newspaper article about our lawsuit.
(Note: You can read the related article HERE or view the CPRA lawsuit HERE).

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Group Two: Family Guy Lawsuit between Jim Keeshen, Seth MacFarlane, Fox, et. al.

(Note: We covered both the Family Guy Pilot Pitch and the lawsuit initiated by Jim Keeshen HERE. We also provided the credits for the pilot pitch HERE. We will discuss this lawsuit in more detail in future blog articles. The full title of the lawsuit should be referenced as follows: "LA Superior Court BC211205 Jim Keeshen, Jim Keeshen Productions, Inc. v.Seth McFarlane, Fox Broadcasting Company, The Irv Shechter Company, John Goldsmith." Note that "McFarlane" should be spelled "MacFarlane.")

Jim Keeshen Productions Complaint for Damages (dated, June 1, 1999)

(This complaint was filed by Jim Keeshen and Jim Keeshen Productions. It alleged damages for breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, and interference of contractual relations.)

Answer of Defendant Fox Broadcasting Company (dated, August 27, 1999)

Answer of Defendant Seth MacFarlane (dated, August 27, 1999)

Answer to Unverified Complaint by Defendants the Irv Shechter Company and John Goldsmith (dated, August 12, 1999)

Stipulation and Protective Order (dated, May 8, 2000).

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

PART TWO: Documents produced by SMC under the CPRA:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Group One: Jim Keeshen Studio Animatics Title VI-A Federal Grant Documents:

BUDGET FOR Language Animation: Costs for the I2 Production

(Note: I2=SMC International Institute of Trade. There is no name of company or person. Why? Also, notice the actual costs total is for $40,000, the same amount paid to Animatics by Katharine Muller pursuant to SMC's Instructional Consultants document. You can read the related SAVE SMC blog articles: Part 1 and Part 2. You can read more information HERE.)

Studio Animatics Invoices to Santa Monica College for Title VI-A Grant.
(Note: These are all 3 of the invoices placed in one Adobe PDF file. See the related blog article entitled, "Jim Keeshen's Studio Animatics Contracts Exposed." AET Dean Katharine Muller authorized payment under the Title VI-A Federal Grant for language modules.)

Here's the invoices broken down by date:

Studio Animatics Invoice One (dated, August 30, 2001 for $10,000)
Studio Animatics Invoice Two (dated, November 15, 2001 for $11,500)
Studio Animatics Invoice Three (dated, December 5, 2001 for $11,500)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Group Two: AET Internship and Job Placement Documents:

SMC AET "Internships and Job Placements" Spreadsheet (October 2005)
(Note: This is the complete internships and hires from 1998 to October 2005. SMC has provided us additional documents, but since they are two-sided, it will take more time to scan them.)

(Notice that on page 7, AET Professor Jim Keeshen is now going under "Keeshen Productions." We've shown that Jim Keeshen operated under various questionable corporate veils. Also, SMC only lists one intern and one hire, yet according to our records and witness statements, Keeshen employed dozens of alleged interns at his animation studio, including those who worked on the Family Guy pilot pitch for Fox and Seth MacFarlane. See also: Jim Keeshen Productions.)

September 15, 1999 letter from AET Dean Katharine Muller to AET Internship Coordinator Gloria Mottler regarding "Internships and Job Placements" at SMC's Academy.

November 8, 1999 letter from AET Dean Katharine Muller to AET Internship Coordinator Gloria Mottler regarding "Internships and Job Placements" at SMC' Academy.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Group Three: Santa Monica College AET Salary and Job Information Spreadsheets:

(Note: All date of births are listed on top. ST=step advancement while GP=group advancement. For more info, you can read SMC's salary info. webpage. SMC has redacted the social security numbers of each employee).

Dean of External Programs Katharine Muller's salary spreadsheets. (a.k.a., Kathy Muller)

AET Chairman William Lancaster's salary spreadsheets. (a.k.a., Bill Lancaster)

AET Professor James Keeshen's salary spreadsheets. (a.k.a., Jim Keeshen)
(Note: SMC did not provide us Jim Keeshen's salary information for Fall Semester 2005)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Group Three: Santa Monica College Grant Information:

Grant entitled “Demonstration Project to Ensure that Students with Disabilities Receive Quality Higher Education Program" (U.S. Dept. of Education / Office of Special Ed) CD-ROM Accessible Multimedia Project (CAMProject) (as described in the Board of Trustees Minutes, dated May 9, 2005). (Note: See our CPRA Request Set No. One, Request No. 23).

(Notice that the total grant was in the amount of $$830,697. The 45-page document provided by SMC only totals $275,870. Why is there such a huge discrepancy? We will further examine this grant in future blog articles. You can read the government's abstract of the grant HERE.)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

I urge you to read the SAVE SMC Blog for all the articles that reference this information. Although there are almost 400 pages since we started this weblog in September 2005, it will shed more light on the relevance of this information as well as bringing you up to date on our ongoing efforts to save Santa Monica College. We will also use these public records and related documents in the future, so bookmark our blog and website to stay up to date. Also, I would recommend book marking our SAVE SMC Search page for quick reference. If for some reason the official SAVE SMC blog is down, we have a mirrored SAVE SMC MSN Spaces blog. Finally, we have revised our first requests for production under the California Public Records Act (CPRA) to Santa Monica Community College District. You view the revised document HERE.
