Picture of Professionalism

As I always say, a picture speaks a thousand words. Here's a screenshot I made of a fax memorandum sent from Eric LeBlanc to the United States Department of Education regarding guidelines for the Title VI-A grant.

Erica LeBlanc's fax to the U.S. Dept. of Education regarding Title VI-A guidelines

Notice that the fax is not on official Santa Monica College stationary nor is it dated. I assume that LeBlanc, who was SMC’s director of contracts and grants, drew the childish image. In our blog article entitled "
SMC's Skullduggery and Creative Refinancing of Federal Funds," we discussed Erica LeBlanc's role in the Title VI-A grant. Specifically, we revealed that she was privy to two memorandums written on or about December 19, 2000 by Academy of Entertainment and Technology Dean Katharine Muller. In Muller's memorandums, Muller mentioned problems with the their initial grants and the transfer of funds to AET professor Jim Keeshen's fictitious company Studio Animatics. Studio Animatics was the company in which Keeshen obtained his part of the Title VI-A funds via several consultant contracts with SMC.

Was LeBlanc's drawing on the fax done to downplay her role in Muller's plans to transfer funds? Or, alternatively, was it just another example of the less than professional approach SMC's employees placed in their handling of our tax dollars? As usual, I will leave that verdict to you.
